Description
We have committed to building back better and greener developments within the area. All of our new housing developments are designed to adhere to our 5* quality approach.
This helps us define the quality of our wider programme, ensuring developments are sustainable, affordable and make best use of the assets available. The 5* approach principles are:

- Makes Best Use of Land
- Community Led Consultation
Sustainability is a top priority for all of the Council's new build developments. They have a major focus on the need to protect and enhance the environment and the innovative technology installed ensures all new homes constructed are sustainable for both future residents and the environment and resilience to future climate.

The Scarborough Avenue development is an entirely social rented development of 29, one, two and three-bed apartments which will be let to council tenants.
The development also contains a number of enhanced environmental features, including electric boilers, triple glazing, heat recover systems and solar panels.
