Description
The Environment Lake has benefitted from a change in management intensity. Thick emergent fringes to the lake have been allowed to develop and a broad rough grassland margin created on the western aspect. Extending the grass buffer and diversifying scrub management will allow any birds, insects or plants to have a larger area to forage and commute whilst having some form of cover where the scrub is. It also provides an area for higher footfall without disturbing the plants and insects closer to the lake.
