Description
LNR is a local nature reserve. These have to be applied for to Natural England by providing evidence to support the application. The sites chosen have to be locally important for either or all of the below
- wildlife
- geology
- education
- enjoyment (as long as it does not harm wildlife and supports other good reasons like learning or nature conservation)
- Fairlands Valley Park provides many and varied habitats that would be potentially worthy of LNR statua
